Geomechanics – the science that studies strengths, competences and deformations of rock mass and technical objects under overburden stresses (occurring naturally and artificially).
- Prevention of auto hydro fracturing while drilling
- Risk mitigation of well caving and drill-stem buckling
- Increase of accuracy for forecast of hydro fracturing (geometry and production)
- Increase of accuracy for forecast of pore pressure
The knowledge about composition, constitution and law of formation evolution allows to increase efficiencies of drilling, hydrocarbons production and deposit development.
Geological model is an important component that is required to solve different kind of problems like hydrocarbons reserves calculations or can be used as a basis for geological-economic appraisal. Therefore, the quality of geological model is in direct connection with the quality of all further steps of the project like creation of hydrodynamical or geomechanical model.
The results of geological modeling can be presented in form of:
- Field-geological parameters for acreage of drilling
- Seismic cross-section
- Detailed correlation schemes using surrounding wells
- Structural maps of the roof of target formation and target reservoir
- Permeability validation on project area
- Average porosity and permeability map
- Geological cross-sections in-line with project well along with lithology, porosity and permeability
- Geological cross-sections in-line with trajectory of project well
- Recommendations and statements of need for pilot well drilling
The knowledge about geological structure of deposits is fundamental for all kind of works related to geological surveys and effective production of oil, gas and gas-condensate.
Many years’ experience of thorough analysis of surface geophysics data, well logging data, geological and engineering surveys as well as laboratory core studies allows us to provide effective solutions for exploration activities and hydrocarbons production.
The knowledge about geological structure of deposits is fundamental for all kind of works related to geological surveys and effective production of oil, gas and gas-condensate.
High quality hydrodynamic model allows to carry out an analysis of reservoir headway, remaining hydrocarbons in place and zones of bypassed hydrocarbons. Also, it allows to optimize formation pressure maintenance, forecast production of project well and in such a way to estimate rate of return for particular well drilling and for development of the whole field.
The results of hydrodynamic modelling can be presented in form of:
- Cross-sections of initial and current oil saturation
- Justification of remaining hydrocarbons in place
- Maps of initial and remaining net oil pay zones
- Maps of current formation pressures
- Outcomes of hydrodynamic model (fluid and oil debits, watercut, gas factor, bottom-hole pressure, cumulative oil and fluid production)
- Justification of placement of project well and bottom-hole pressure
- Forecast of production for project well
One of the important solutions for the problem of successful hydrocarbons production is building of appropriate physical model of the medium and correct description of all processes that take place there. Knowledge and understanding of physical and mathematical bases of hydrodynamics, hydraulics and mechanics of the formation are the key elements for modification of existing tools and creation of new ones that are used to find the solutions for different kind of problems that our Customer can deal with during production.
